Day 2 Betting Preview

With the 2008 PGA Championship underway at Oakland Hills Country Club, William Hill have given golf fans the opportunity to bet on the outright winner and second round 3 balls.

Best odds are offered in the outright winner betting market, with 32 players within 4 strokes of the three tournament leaders. Phil Mickelson is still priced as favourite in this market at 6/1, with Sergio Garcia the best priced European player at 9/1.

The high odds available in the outright winner betting markets make each way betting a good option, as punters can earn a payout at ¼ of the market odds if their selections finish the 2008 PGA Championship in the top five.

The focus today will be on second round 3 ball betting, with better than even odds offered on all the players in dozens of 3 balls.

The feature second round 3 ball features Lee Westwood, Geoff Ogilvy and Zach Johnson, where Ogilvy and Westwood are priced 6/4 and Johnson will pay out 9/4 for the lowest score of the round.

Also look out for Anthony Kim, Camilo Villegas and Sergio Garcia in their 3 ball, where 6/4 priced Kim and 5/4 priced Garcia promise to offer an exciting contest for the lowest score of the day.
