2008 US PGA Betting Preview
With only a day to go before the last of the year's majors begins at Oakland Hills Country Club, William Hill have opened up several ante-post PGA Championship betting markets.
The outright winner betting market has been open for several months, and is currently topped by America's Phil Mickelson at odds of 10/1.
There is great value in the market with Open Championship winner Padraig Harrington priced 16/1 and WGC-Bridgestone Invitational winner Vijay Singh priced 20/1.
There are a number of variations on the outright winner betting markets, with punters able to bet on which players from each golfing region will perform best at the PGA Championship.
Sergio Garcia tops the market for top European player at odds of 11/2, while Lee Westwood and Padriag Harrington both look like good each way bets at a price of 6/1.
In the top American player markets, Phil Mickelson is best priced at 5/1 while Jim Furyk is priced a generous 10/1 to put in the best performance by an American at the 2008 PGA Championship.
Meanwhile Vijay Singh and Ernie Els share a price of 7/1 to put in the best performance by a player from the rest of the world.
