The 2008 US PGA Championship is set to return to Oakland Hills Country Club in Michigan in the tournament's 90th year. The championship will be held at the club in Michigan from 4 – 10 August 2008 and prices range from $30 to $700. There are also a range of packages that can be reserved and purchased by going to the 2008 PGA Championship website and all tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The PGA Championship is one of four premier golf events conducted by The PGA of America. Others include the Ryder Cup Matches, the Senior PGA Championship and the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which brings together winners of golf's four Major Championships.

Since 1916, golf's elite players have been competing for the much prized Wanamaker Trophy and a chance to take part in this prestigious event. Past PGA Champions include: Tiger Woods , Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Davis Love III, Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead and Walter Hagen.

In its 90th year, the 2008 US PGA Championship will be the third PGA Championship hosted by Oakland Hills. It last hosted the tournament in 1972 and 1979 and more recently hosted the 35th Ryder Cup in 2004.

In preparation for the Championship, Oakland Hills has worked with legendary golf course architect Rees Jones to complete an extensive renovation of the South Course. This should prove to deliver more challenges and thrills to the premier event.
